What type of drums should I play if I am at the very beginning of learning how to play drums?

I want to learn to play drums and I want to know what drums should I buy.I really need some help.

Listen no one here has really got it. Most drummers who start off in school learn on snare first to get the rudiments down and to help the student to learn to read percussion music. You can get a drum set and do the same thing. i would suggest getting two books. a beginner snare book and a beginner drum set book. it won’t take you a year or two to understand the rudiments. take a week or two and get them down pack. i would recommended using a metronome to keep yourself in time and help yourself get into the habit of never speeding up or slowing down, which none of this other drummers/musicians said to do. once you’ve learned to read the music and learned the basic rudiments your good to start the set. the best thing i can say to do is not to rush it. take your time and go slow, and i mean painfully slow. its gonna suck till you get the hang of it, but trust me you’ll be a better drummer for it. this is the same regiment i take my students through and all them have been better than a lot of the drummers that i’ve meet at school or even in the mainstream.
